Come, come - this "thread" should surely go under "Stuff" (or at a pinch, "News [Articles]")?  Rather than, as it is, "Thelema": just because its subtitle is the "Temple of Thelema" (rather than its actual title of "Heruraha.net") doesn't mean the content itself is actually Thelemic...

Can there be much to discuss here, other than "I can't get in!!"?? (- "Neither can I!!") (- "Nor me too!!"):-

I don't go there any more. I don't care if I can't get in. The site is a "teaching site," and it's for their membership. Oh yeah, they went public with it. Anybody could sign up. I suspect there are either to many robots or there are too many hackers for viagra or Russian bride ads, or Jim is getting older and has decided to cut the stress level and take it behind closed doors. I don't blame him. But I also lost a little respect over there.

Yeah, this thread is "Thelema" in name only ... because it's none of our business. If anyone needs to get in, they can always sign up. And if the have to be an initiate of their Tong, then it's Join the Tong ... or give it up.

Probably not. The word's out about LAShTAL. They're safer if they go to Spreadit Reddit.

Alright alright Michael I get it the term 'idiot' used for Parsons was an overstatement.

I had been a member for many years. I've had some helpful information over the years. Earlier this year it was one of the sites I posted to when hoping to find out when Crowley had switched to assigning fixed periods of time to the aeons. Now, though, my name and password is rejected, so I expect that, as suggested by someone ealier in this thread, it's become a site only accessible by members of the Temple of Thelema.

Oh, but allow me to introduce myself.

I go by Hermitas.

I do not know the fate of Heruraha.net as I was never within the Temple walls.

But if you ask me, the “outer-court” forum just died off. Facebook. The life is now in Facebook not old-school forums. I’m certain you feel it here too. Interactions had become rare and unproductive for years.

Now, fraters and sorors, I would ask a moment speak on “fruitcakes.”

That moniker was popularized for us by our common acquaintance Los, who takes issue with the entire spiritual realm. It was he who did us this Trumpian favor and for his bias.

What are all you here then? Losians?

Also, we had ruthless arguments.

You?

Also, we’ve had the crazy come through.

You?

I can’t control what you call me, but know what it is.

Finally, you should know this... I personally came to Heruraha.net out of my f-ing mind. Trying to assimilate myself after an explosion of mania and qabalah. What was real? OMG The Beast! I had touched a version of myself that had blown my previous reality open.

I was doing and saying all the crazy things.

That place really helped me out. Jim’s way of handling things really helped me out. I really learned a lot there, and I owe that man a lot.

So, yeah, I’m one of the fruitcakes, but I was already around.

Nice to make your acquaintance.

The real loss is the ability to search those conversations.

The good ones were viewed in the tens-of-thousands of times. I was and am a solitary. That was my only resource for a very long time.

You joined two (2) years ago. This is your 48th (48) post. You are a "late-introducer." Welcome to LAShTAL, belatedly.

Guess what? Some of us didn't "come through." We stayed.

Posted by: @hermitas

You?

Me. Among others.

Posted by: @hermitas

How disgusting. The term "fruitcake" was tossed around in my youth, probably before Los was ever born. Everyone here seems to use some semi-derogatory terms from time to time. "Greasy Swami" comes direct from AC, although it is so politically incorrect that not many stoop to its use. Idiot, wacko, nut-job, and other standard phrases are applied to assorted mentally-disordered individuals and/or groups on an (almost) daily basis. There is no need to drag the materialist Los in. He is the laughing stock and the great embarrassment of Thelema. We are not Losians - we simply use pre-Los derogatory terms indisciminately.

I have promoted the idea that the crazy, insane fruitcakes are not always mentally disturbed. It depends on the plane of reference. Sometimes the target is indeed insane, or at least is displaying faulty logic.

Posted by: @hermitas

I can’t control what you call me, but know what it is.

This statement displays faulty logic. Mainly because I don't recall anyone calling you anything. But my recollection is self-confessed to be incomplete.

Nice to make your acquaintance.

You seem to be lost in some sort of a time-warp or kink in time

Posted by: @hermitas

That was my only resource for a very long time.

Anicca, anicca - everything passes away.

Well, even S.'. H.'. Fra. Dr. Los PhD 8=3 is a total fruitcake by the standards of normal folks, just for having an interest in AC and his work. Mysticism and magick are innately fruitcake-y topics.

So you're in good company here. Welcome.

What was Eshelman thinking of here?  A private group for TOT members only, what is it a money-making incentive?  Not giving out free advice any more?  Protecting his flock who the resentful label as "fruitcakes"?

The life is now in Facebook not old-school forums.

Not much of a life though really, is it? I think it's a shame. I'm involved with two Facebook pages - one for Kenneth Grant's work, the other that of Frater Achad. There can be interesting conversations, but forums such as LAShTAL and Heruraha.net are in my experience much more suitable for chewing the cud.

True, but on Heruraha.net this past year, we had one discussion about whether the Covid lockdown violated people’s true wills, one Nazi who showed up to make fun of that discussion as basic, and one old regular who showed up to write a few rounds of mystic trip poetry before clashing with another mystic poet and ghosting again. Oh, and there was your question about Aeons, which there was no one knowledgeable around to answer.

I mean... And that was an eventful year.

The external, vulgar, common social media sites are the cesspools of human confusion and constipation. They provide distractions from doing the work. They get analyzed and charged with corruptions by honorable congressional investigating committees.

You sins might be forgiven, if you will only repent and accept Jesus, Aleister, or Siddhartha in your heart. And pull the plug on the pipe that leads to the cesspool.

I will pray for your release. If you pay on time (in advance).

This sounds like chewing the crud. You same to be in a state of grief, lamenting the passing away of the publick falcon. Calling out memories of the golden age of free internet access into a semi-secret society of which you are not a member. Just go join their Tong. Then you can "leak" secret data here on LAShTAL (under a further-assumed avatar, so you won't get caught).

Posted by: @hermitas

I admit to hitting the net of confusion. It now appears that you are admitting the downhill slide of the publick falcon. Please admit your preference.

The Holy Days cannot be too much. Every day is a holy day.

But some days are full of holes more than others.

Over here we refer to such days as SSV (spiritual string vest), or 126.

Ohh.. You mean on *this* thread. I thought you were talking about on the Jesus thread.

Umm... No. I'm fine. I don't see anything wrong with it.

Perhaps your personality is different that mine in some regards.

I don't much tolerate people trying to moderate my personality.

If you have a specific criticism of something that was said, let's hear it. I'll answer it.
