The Kalachakra has eleven Kalachakra initiations.
Maybe you could bend Robert Thurman's ear about your new revelation.

While bouncing around from one tradition to the other and taking the shit from the toilet bowl into the kitchen.

The Kalachakra has eleven Kalachakra initiations.

The kalachakra has an almost infinite number of them!

Maybe instead of trying to picture me as somehow "below" you on the tree, you should practice good guru yoga, and see the Vajraguru everywhere!

All of this amazing conversation, and the concepts you wish to introduce are all about me. Why am I so interesting?

I can assure you, anyone who focuses on the person in the conversation while avoiding a genuine exchange of ideas and concepts, a true "win win" sport that only leads to a realization of Sunyata, is in no position to be judging anyone!

Maybe you could bend Robert Thurman's ear about your new revelation.

What makes you think I haven't?

Must be that image you have, hehe

Om Ya da Ya da Me and on and on and on

Nice first pass!

The full mantra, however, is "Om ya da YOU and I, on and on and on"

but oh well, might I remind you that the proper title of The Book of the Law is Liber L vel Legis, not the "al Vel" variant...but what the Hey!

@hadgigegenraum

As usual, your posts seem to reflect what is going on in my head with all of this with perfect synchronicity. I forgot to mention the title, and I really wanted to!

I forget the details, but I am aware that "Liber L vel Legis" is what is "written" in the original. And it does look like Crowley turned it into both "El" or "AL" later.

Was that too a mistake?

The Book of the Law never says you can't add a letter, you just can't change a letter 🙂

However, what I find interesting is this. What do you think the proper translation of Liber L(al) Vel Legis is in English?

Liber 31 was an incredible work for me 22 years ago, deeply impacted me.

Relating the inner mystery of the word "Allah", or rather "AL LA" to reflect the sound of the entire universe breathing in and out, all sentient beings, gods, men, mice, etc, what a mantra! In Islam they would call that a "diter" if my memory serves me.

Since a continuous universe, infinite, has no possible final summary, for any name given would then place a limitation, I found Jones' revelation to be a beautiful way to solve this, and itself I believe a beautiful "synthesis" of both East and West when it comes to approaching this view both with and without a diety.

ALLAH is a beautiful name for the "all" of it, breathing as one, no two, nyet! none!

And would this not make the proper translation into English from Liber L vel Legis be "The Book of the Law of God" or specifically "The Book of the Law of Allah"?

So I write "Liber AL vel Legis" because AL would be "one half" of that formula, and if you reverse the sound of AL you get LA, hence I view the title itself as another key to unlock the inner meaning. I do not like calling the book "The Book of the Law" for this reason.

You can answer this later, perhaps when we met up on the Himalayan trail, wandering the wastes!

Thanks again amigo, truly.

I really want to close this discussion out with a tribute to your contribution specifically.

I really appreciate your input, a few things you dropped into the discussion were indeed "key" for my expressive self, linking Crowley directly to Hegel's historical dialectic opened the doors of freedom for me to move seamlessly through the book and translation.

Now that you have earned a certain distinction here as a pest, I will not spit nor shit on your enthusiasm, Sanguine Chuck,

I love that name! I may adopt it, if you do not mind.

You have an easy way with language, I am not sure what you do in the real world, but I hope writing of some kind is apart of it.

I think Orson would be proud to be an avatar here in the war of these worlds or words,

"War of the Words" love it! I may also use this?

That is a good summary of Crowley's system, the war happening between the "2" and the leap into their union of 0.

Also, you could not flatter a fella more than by the comparison to our cinematic guru Wells, I admit his influence is hard for me to hide, just as hard as it was for him to hide his fat ass, hehe.

See you in the spirit world!

Your pal

Sanguine Chuck

Not a simple drive-by, but a well-orchestrated parade. The overall scenario reminds me of ...

I am really not sure if these last two posts concern proper Dojo etiquette....more like projections against 'Thus Spake Sanguine Chuck"....though perhaps called for in relations to his change of avatar...

The problem is that 'Orson' was obviously hurt by the reception... where the locals, when things got a bit sweaty, obviously could not handle the newcomer's enthusiasms, ganged up and called management..... "snitching shall be the whole of the misdemeanor"... after breaking form and saying he needed a psychiatrist....but low strikes are accepted in "Thelema" (TM) so back to the zen of what popular figure has sampled Crowley for dollars and spooky sex credentials for the five e¥es...

Sunyata was =

oh well~

One might be led to wonder if you've been a member of a dojo. Since we have been commenting upon a person who changed his pic to a "Good-bye," and changed his name to "Bloody Chuck" [sic], and who has informally "left the dojo," any dojo etiquette is non-consequential because talk like this comes in the dressing room, not on the dojo floor.

Does this mean we have your permission? Or your implied sympathy or empathy? I am beginning to get confused. And just who was that masked man who came in with a humble smile, pretending joy at finding the one, true, Inner Order ... then, once inside, he began to instruct us mortals, making noises about taking over LAShTAL and running it his way, then finally unloading four-letter words with a great dump of insanity?

Oh, Cow Excrement!  Orson was received by the locals with open arms. We, the locals, enjoyed days of discussion about Aikido, Rigpa, Thelema, Crowley, and other such things. He was remarkably fluent in multiple systems. After his initial happy reception, he started to get touchy and began to confuse the planes.

If, after that, he became "obviously hurt," while typing "Strike hard and low!" ... well, I just marvel at the endless display of Spring Birds who come in or by here and then portray various psychological disorders while growing more loud, aggressive, and ... essentially adolescent (or earlier).

ganged up and called management...

This is Standard Operating Procedure. When our (the gang's) tender ministrations cannot restrain a raving maniac who is purposely violating the sacred Guidelines. What else is there to do? We have no guns or swords, not even a badge. We have not been issued the power of life or death. We have been tasked with keeping order, under the banner of the scriptural Guidelines.

after breaking form and saying he needed a psychiatrist

"Breaking Form?" What "Form?"

"See a doctor" or "Take your meds" was being used in these halls when I first arrived well over a decade ago), and they weren't even doctors. When Dr. Shiva says these things, he usually means it. I do not do well when confronting crazy people. I have been known to use Aikido in order to stabilize them. It's different here on the etheric (digital) plane - one can't get a physical grip on them.

Huh? it is now time to announce "Back to "Crowley and his Discrepancies."

We all have them. It's the reptilian/lyran (human) DNA. That's the "bio" part.

"Logic"ally, "reason is a lie."

"Ally" - An associate who is on one's side? A narrow roadway behind buildings filled with trash cans? None of these. It means "pertaining to."

Have you now joined the non-dual fraternity? How swell.

Yeah I know it was a rhetorical question.    Let's put it another way, you see sanguine as a Ronin?

He often talked about 'balancing each thought with it's opposite'.  I'm.assuming that that means more than just deciding to have tea instead of coffee or inviting your mother in law down for Thanksgiving after all.
