Thank you for sharing your opinion.

Thank you, for thanking me.  "You're quite welcome".  I don't mind if I do!

However, as you may have seen me suggest above, literal interpretations of Liber Al are always incorrect.

"Always" ?  (Itself can be a most dangerous word, in the wrong hands...)

How about (beginning at the beginning): Chapter 1, Verse 1 --- do you therefore deny that Had[it) is - literally - the manifestation of Nuit?

So, like if someone were to cite AL for the proposition that

the use of Liber Al for any type of justification is explicitly disallowed.

that would be wrong?

Oh lord and saints preserve us! No wonder you like Trump.

Is is possible there is actually a person as stupid and un-self-aware as you in real life, or are these posts just some kind of effort to parody Wasserman-ism/Sol Invictus-ism with over-the-top, obviously absurd, far-right views? Monarchism is viewed as a bit much even by most ultra-righists.

I mean, i just think you go too far for credibility with condemning drug addicts, and those who enjoy being sodomized, on a Crowley forum?!?!?

Trump is literally anything but a Caesar. The only thing Trump signifies or herald's is the future. We still need men to cross the Rubicon and that time is not now. My literal answer is that I don't know. My allegorical answer is that as tantra with regards to Ch. 1 v.1, I am not supposed to know the literal truth, or who or what Nu and Had really are. Mysteries don't have to be understood to be effective myths but I think at some point in the future the truth of what these mysteries represent will be revealed and it will not be anything what we would expect (if we are even alive). Hence the personal interpretation is the soundest way to live and uphold the law of Thelema.

And as they say about any journey "your mileage may vary!"

Evola was not a fascist. Neither was he a member of the PFR or NSDAP despite having literally decades of opportunity to do so. In fact he later on in life successfully defended himself in court on charges of being a fascist and or a terrorist. He was an aristocrat seeking a restoration of his view of traditional societies. I enjoy his literary contributions on those topics and occultism, he was a fine magician. I find elements of his writing style laborious chores but The Ur Group essays are goldmines. But throwing around nearly meaningless labels as smears is something I expect a synapses entrenched reactionary do.

PS- he liked men too so you might make strange bedfellows!

PSS- I still have no idea why you are obsessed with the sex lives of people long dead. It's almost like you are personally violated by how other people behaved decades ago. Give it a rest.

There's sort of a universal principle that prohibits the human mind from knowing that "source." It seems like one can become it, but in the process, the separate-self identification falls away. The separate-self is a function of mind.

So you (anyone) can be God-Genitor-Brahma-Hadit-those guys, but you (anyone) have to check the mind-baggage in order to board the plane.

Runelogix on ignant666;

Fortunately your synapses are closed so tight that you can't see the forest though the trees and I love how strong, rich and successful men, terrifies you.

This goes to the crux of the OP (amidst gay-sex derailment).   You are here saying that Ignant666 as an anti-capitalist fears rich very people and this 'fear of money' (Liber AL money fear not) drives that attitude therefore he is not really a proper Thelemite.  Is this a correct analysis of your view?

Liber AL defines 'success' and 'the succesful'.  Here's a few random quotes.

1:23. But whoso availeth in this, let him be the chief of all!

1: 32. Obey my prophet! follow out the ordeals of my knowledge! seek me only! Then the joys of my love will redeem ye from all pain. This is so: I swear it by the vault of my body; by my sacred heart and tongue; by all I can give, by all I desire of ye all.

1:61. But to love me is better than all things:

Liber AL also defines who the failures are (most notably here from Chapter 2);

.

17. Hear me, ye people of sighing!
The sorrows of pain and regret
Are left to the dead and the dying,
The folk that not know me as yet.
18. These are dead, these fellows; they feel not. We are not for the poor and sad: the lords of the earth are our kinsfolk.
19. Is a God to live in a dog? No! but the highest are of us. They shall rejoice, our chosen: who sorroweth is not of us.
20. Beauty and strength, leaping laughter and delicious languor, force and fire, are of us.
21. We have nothing with the outcast and the unfit: let them die in their misery. For they feel not. Compassion is the vice of kings: stamp down the wretched & the weak: this is the law of the strong: this is our law and the joy of the world. Think not, o king, upon that lie: That Thou Must Die: verily thou shalt not die, but live. Now let it be understood: If the body of the King dissolve, he shall remain in pure ecstasy for ever. Nuit! Hadit! Ra-Hoor-Khuit! The Sun, Strength & Sight, Light; these are for the servants of the Star & the Snake.

Now, you runelogix are defining  Trump as successful.  Does he embody the success defined in Liber AL as demonstrated above?  Does he not embody failure as defined in Liber AL as above?

You want god-emperors returned.  Does this imply capital punishment of the public lion- feeding variety?  Maybe televised live the way Muammar Gadaffi did (minus the lions)?

Typo should've been 'very rich people' in Line 6.

Also on 'success' from Chapter 2 AL;

45. There is death for the dogs.
46. Dost thou fail? Art thou sorry? Is fear in thine heart?
47. Where I am these are not.
48. Pity not the fallen! I never knew them. I am not for them. I console not: I hate the consoled & the consoler.

:52.  ye do well, & I will reward you here and hereafter.

Donald Trump was not "very rich" when he became President, though he's richer now than three years ago. If making a lot of money is your measure of "success", Trump's life has been a miserable failure.

He was a spoiled rich boy who got half a billion dollars from his dad, blew it all on disastrous real estate deals, due to being very stupid, and turned to a second career laundering money for the Russian mob. He then got a TV role playing a rich guy on a "reality TV" show, and parlayed that into his current role as King of America.

Good political savvy, yes. Financial acumen, not so much. He was King Midas in reverse- every deal he touched turned to shit. He went bankrupt running casinos.

I have a close friend who is actually very rich, having made his money in the NYC real estate market Trump failed in so badly. He has a very nice house, and a very nice racing sailboat, and a Tesla, and very good basses and amps. But i don't think he is any happier than me, and perhaps less so.

Money is good stuff, and the lack of it is dismal, but it's just not the case that money = success.

It is my will that;
Trump will continue to bail out the too big to jail financial racket, at the expense of those trying to eek out a just living and tout equal opportunity; orchestrating the mass cognition on the promise of a future in order to participate in the rollover scheme of passing the risk and socializing the loss; so that i can fast shuffle opulence.

I'm sceptical about the analysis of Trump as a failed financier it just seems so tinged by your one- track political beliefs.  The Russian involvement in his election I also find ridiculous.  Why would Russia want to get a candidate elected who is only going to do a mere two terms at best and then everything he does gets reversed by the opponents and so on and so on like  a pendulum?   There wasn't that much in the election and Americans are not swayed to vote by a few Facebook-ad  smear campaigns.  It's laughable.  Besides no one knows who hacks what.  The source of the hack vanishes into a black hole so any 'proof' of ahem 'rigging'   just doesn't exist anyway.

This is you making sense.   Yeah exactly this friend of yours isn't really rich.

On that subject if you take , say, a bus driver who does his job well.  He is not a towering intellect, works out, can more than satisfy his girlfriend in bed,has overcome negative states and is able to sail through his existence in a humorous carefree manner.  However he cannot afford to eat where your average lawyer eats, cannot afford to drive a luxury car and his job is at the mercy of a faceless distant rich person's decision and /or powerful market-flux at any time..then that guy is a success by my standards even if he loses his job.

You want to 'smash capitalism' to help such a guy.  I'm asking is that really necessary?

Trump's career as a failing businessman is not a matter of opinion, but of historical record:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Business_career_of_Donald_Trump

It is not everyone that can get half a billion dollars from their old dad, and then have to file for bankruptcy six (6) times.

The extensive support Trump received from Russia in his business career, and in the 2016 election, are again a matter of historical record, not my opinion; read the Mueller report on the latter. It is not exactly the exoneration Il Dookie and his minions have spun it as.

What makes you think Trump intends to serve only two terms?

It is not clear that he will leave office if he loses the 2020 election. He often "jokes" about serving more than two terms. We learned last week that he has powers that exceed those of any recent monarch. He can literally do anything he wants to, there are no laws to constrain him.

Well I have to color this with my own interpretation: applying Liber Al to external ("worldly") manifestations is a mistake. Liber Al is a personal message to YOU through the scribe AC. You are the prince-priest the Beast. You are the word of the Aeon Abrahadabra. It is up to you to follow the messages it contains and act accordingly to your will. Any other person is completely irrelevant. They are in their own orbit fulfilling their own kamma.

Stop looking at Trump as a person. Look at his name and see the symbol he represents (hint: Book of Thoth). And it isn't that I necessarily want god-emperor's to return. I see it as an inevitable completion of a historical process of birth maturity decay and death. We are in the early stages of decay, the New Aeon has not been realized within human beings on a global/world historical stage. I am fine with feeding Christians to the Lions. Nero did nothing wrong. However personally I don't want to see harm come to anyone because I just don't have the enmity in me to want to see harm come to other people and keeping the balance of justice is important to me (it might not be for you, I don't care! hahaha).

In my opinion it is purely an allegory for success or failure of Crossing the Abyss and or the other Ordeals in the text.

"The fallen" are the qliphoth of your own psyche, as our "your enemies" mentioned elsewhere in the text. And just to get ahead of a natural followup question no I do not believe that psychological interpretations of Liber Al are correct and should of necessity be banished and laughed into mockery (L. Ron Hubbard wasn't totally incorrect to be fanatically anti-psychology).

Now just don't suppose that literal meaning of "never" is what Liber Al means by Hadit never being known, the trap is to think it is understood by reading it literally.

I have "never" recommended or even stated that the text of Liber AL can only be understood by reading it (=interpreting it) literally.  There may be all sorts of cabbalistic hidden meanings, for a start.  The trap may be for you personally, as one might infer by your caution.  But you cannot speak for all people (=readers) and declare it applies to them.

Posted by: @runelogix

I am more inclined to test the theory that the reversal of everything said in Liber Al is closer to the intent of the book

The test of uniting everything with its opposite, that is certainly one approach.

Sure does!  And on what one might mean by 'one, one, one'.

Liber Al is a personal message to YOU through the scribe AC

I believe this is your coloring of the facts with your personal, instructional bias.

If we simply cook this down into its basic components, we find that Liber AL was a personal message from AC to himself. It has nothing to do with any "YOU," unless said "YOU" buys into one or more concepts in said AL, and then pretends he/she is AC. Does that make sense?

But you (you, him, me, her) are said other person (if you perceive them). If their orbit comes into your orbit, then I guess it's your karma as well as theirs.

Really, an in the truth of true perception, you seem to be some sort of semi-deranged, John the Baptizer, spouting your interpretation of some book written by some other dead person, all the while telling other people what said book means to them. This is reminiscent of right-wing, fascist, religious fanatics.

Thank you for repeating to everyone who will read this exactly what I have said repeatedly above.

If we simply cook this down into its basic components, we find that Liber AL was a personal message from AC to himself.

That is one point of view. And clearly a message he believed was true to him. However it does not stop there. His attitude towards it as a self-revelatory tantra is predicated upon interpreting the book as a personal message to the reader from divine powers.

It has nothing to do with any "YOU," unless said "YOU" buys into one or more concepts in said AL, and then pretends he/she is AC. Does that make sense?

No it does not. Because it is a personal message from divine powers to the individual reading it. It is not AC's message to me. He is the prophet and scribe, not the gods.

No, I am not ... and neither is Dom. You are up on a soap box in a tall pulpit, advising others on how to identify with a message that somebody else wrote to himself.

You are in no way shape or form any judge of who Dom is. I am not advising anyone on how to identify with the message. I am sharing my interpretation. Think AC wrote Liber Al to himself all you want, it doesn't matter to me or anyone else.

What if someone's Will conflicts with one or more message(s) in AL?

The answer to that question is in the book already. I really shouldn't have to re-hash that.

Really, an in the truth of true perception, you seem to be some sort of semi-deranged, John the Baptizer, spouting your interpretation of some book written by some other dead person, all the while telling other people what said book means to them. This isn't a sermon. This is a discussion of the pure joy, light, liberty, and life that Liber Al offers if you open yourself up to it. And that makes it the most holy revelation of all time.

So far in just this thread, @runelogix is a Thelemic fundamentalist, Trump-supporter, Gorean warrior, homophobe, and hater of drug users, (and i'm sure i've left stuff out), who thinks self-described "superfascist" Evola was a pinko softy, and "liked men too" despite his (Evola's) virulent homophobia.

And is either a big fan of gay Nazi Ernst Rohm, or of other Nazis killing gay Nazis like Ernst Rohm, or, perhaps, both.

Clearly a man we should all listen to.

What if someone's Will conflicts with one or more message(s) in AL?

The answer to that question is in the book already. I really shouldn't have to re-hash that.

B-But... maybe he was interested in your particular interpretation of the question?

Is this a silver, gold, 'precious water' or 'ultimate sparks' interpretation of yours here?  (Or some "other"?)

He ignores my question on the necessity of Marxist Anarcho smashing of capitalism.  I guess  he wants destruction but he won't / (can't?) weigh up why and how revolution would be somehow better.

@runelogix who said;

The people of a nation on a whole are children and if they are not cared for, nurtured, and cared for to behave in beneficial ways you have the exact kind of dysfunction you see among a large percentage of black Americans: complete anti-social breakdown and an inevitable mass incarceration for societies protection from out of control people. The last thing these people need is more fentanyl. The people without discipline are no better than slaves.

Why single out 'the black Americans' in your argument as oppose to white or any other colour?

However it does not stop there.

Oh yes, it does. With myself, of course. You may run on, as you see fit, compounding the illusion that you are important.

Posted by: @runelogix

it is a personal message from divine powers to the individual reading it.

Oh, right, I forgated that one. I guess I repressed it because it's the same story I was taught in Sunday School, which I debunked at age 13 or 14.

Which "divine powers?" Dues est Homo.

Posted by: @runelogix

I am not advising anyone on how to identify with the message. I am sharing my interpretation.

This is understood. But your rhetoric, and the way it is delivered in imperative mode, and using the word YOU in reference to other folks, all comes out with an appearance of a hysterical bible-thumper ... with associations transferred from Jesus to "gods" or "divine messages."

Posted by: @runelogix

Well, maybe so ... or not. Personally, In Revelation is an Appendix in my latest book, which discloses the ultimate secret of all the Aeons combined, which covers the whole spectrum and is thereby decreed "holy," which I just finished writing, and is now waiting for the proof-reader, who is pre-occupied with disorders on the physical plane ... that entry ... it's a good contender for the title.

RuneIllogical is a starry-eyed believer, enmeshed with Netzachian cultural-programming issues. He has not yet faced his mortality, so we must forgive him his sins of plane-confusion.

This does not mean anyone has to listen to this revelatory monologue. But it makes for a sense of amusement to duel a little bit, because he's so ... excitable.

The Alchemist starts with "base metal." Led, mixed with arsenic and cannabis will do. This thread is the first ordeal ... reaching for Silver, but aiming too high.

This is what you get in a threat devoted to Anarchists.

Ummm, maybe cause he's racist, in addition to all the other bigotry on display here?

For our monarchist Gorean fundy pal's information, heroin addiction and use of fentanyl are vastly more common among rural whites than among black folks anywhere. Death rates are rising among rural whites, and longevity is increasing for other Americans.

If you want evidence of social breakdown among a group of Americans, look at your fellow Trump voters: native born rural whites with a high school education or less lead most measures of dysfunction: alcoholism, drug addiction, suicide, early death, children born outside marriage, etc.

'He hasn't faced his mortality'?.  I'm not getting that.   He's confusing the planes?  What he thinks his Briah is his Assiah or his etheric is his higher mental?  I don't get it.   Unless you mean his own fucked upness of his past humillaitions are being pushed down unconsciously into his own Freudian garbage- can and to cope with that train -wreck he's doing what babies do which is to throw  all the bad feelings out there externally at some other person/people.

Due to the nature of some of your posts, there exists a slight possibility that you have not faced your mortality as yet ... also ... too.

I would explain further, but this is such secret stuff that I will be disguising as a footnote in an obsure page of an Appendix in a book that has not yet been printed, but will be available soon. I'm thinking about April fool's day.

It's a code for those who know what we mean.

WHY the need for a code (and especially if it's for those who already know what is meant)?  If a code is in fact needed, WHY has it taken such a ridiculously simple form to crack as blanks standing for "Spring(time)"?

I don't know WHO you mean by "we" and am not, as far as I am aware, part of it - who are those you have in mind of as being part of "we"?

HOW do you know WHAT is meant is understood to be the same thing by different people - therefore just to be sure, what is it that YOU mean?

Clarifyingly: yours?

He means you better learn the Code, or you'll never learn anything useful again. "We" doesn't have a lot of room, and certainly not for Code-bashers.

I, also, am not a "we," so We'll both have to live in darkness  for the rest of our days, before Mort pays a call,

I certainly hope he doesn't mean anything as this which could be construed as a fret, and fraught with hidden menace!

I'd quite like to see old Mort for a social again, he hasn't been seen around these parts for a while.  I do hope he's in rude health!

So Shiva and Barter that code thing went over your head no doubt.   It was a reference to Ignant's observance that Lashtal gets Nazis and other wackos all riled up as Spring approaches and this is reflected in poster-activity.   Now that I've called out Runelogix as a typical Spring nutjob he probably won't post here hence 'the code'.

More like "under our feet" or "below our radar." Barter and I may barter over some battered binahs but, generally speaking, we don't tolerate outright stupidity concealed as high magick or holy codes.

How complex. All those various space-time coordinates, All that inferred reference to invisible Masters. And then there's always the inability to even remotely care about investigating any clever postings in code or puzzly threads, except to make wry comments, because of emergency level conditions on the physical plane.

I believe you were part of the phenomenon known as "gang-banging" (non-sexual reference).

He seemed to be so unique and conqueror. His giveaway was the large amount of contradictory data and/or positions he presented ... almost simultaneously, but not close enough so that all disappear.

Thank you for explaining the code/season/Ignant/recurring/spring thing to us senior citizens,

I never said for one second that it was 'holy'.  What the - - - -?   It's a mere coded message that the non -regular poster ie Runelogix wouldn't have recognized.

Aha! Just as I suspected. "Occult," "Holy" secrets. LAShTAL is not an "occult" site. Please write in whiter words.

Geddit?

Yes, this was far too abstruse a code for me; made reading Finnegans Wake come across like Janet & John in comparison.

Incidentally, is your new writing style (Yeah... Geddit…) by any chance now based upon that paragon of journalism, Glenda Slagg?

I think you might have overdone the "bait" you tried to lay a little bit.  Maybe if you had applied some subtle reverse psychology instead you might have enticed him to post:...

Still, he might do so yet if he's feeling offended enough by you calling him a "typical [merely run of the mill, not even an unusual] nutjob"!

Posted by: @dom

Ah, but your reasoning's faulty here!  Just because he hadn't regularly posted, doesn't mean to say he isn't a long-time lurker and wouldn't have recognized your allusion from reading stuff previously...

Donning my amateur psychoanalysts's hat dom, this couldn't possibly be because you were in some ways hoping that this would serve as a sort of smokecreen to marginalize & deflect attention away from your own excellent "entertainment value" - could it?!?!
