93!

Hello brothers! I've deciphered the book of the law... but my English is not as good as I would like and it would be great if someone would help me translate some of my notes.

You can also ask me your questions and I will be happy to answer them.

Welcome to the forum! I am sure you will enjoy yourself here.

I am unable to help you myself but I am sure one of the other members will be able to assist.

It may help someone if you say what your native language is.

I am very interested in seeing some or all of your discoveries.

Best wishes,

Alan

Welcome to LAShTAL, adikosamnos. What part of The Book of the Law have you deciphered? Do you mean the riddle at II.76?

Thanks for sharing the file. I put it through a translator, its seems to be a commentary on Liber AL, the translation isn't too bad and its just about readable.

It now contains the text of Liber AL translated from English to Russian (I assume) and then back again. This "round-trip translation" can be quite quirky and amusing in places.

p.s. @lashtal there seems to be some glitch on this thread where the posts are joined up.

Thanks for posting to your work! Thus the distinction to be considered a center of pestilence is at hand!

The resident Holy Guardian Angel of a Duck has done the thankful work, thankfully, of providing a cursory translation, that we might indulge, as some of us are so inclined, in a feeding in pestilence ...

While I will reserve comments per particulars of your work, I will preface that I do find value in various offerings that others have provided as concerns their work and explorations into Liber L. vel Legis to which this site has been graced with a number of entries of late by various other stars.

While some people here seem to dismiss such efforts, with various reasons and because-es, i do honor the work of all such stars as yourself and others who have come forth, and where finding some personal connection to the 'manifest' might be dismissed as some sort of lunacy, I am frankly amazed that the Liber should speak to various stars that the many moons put into exploring the resonances of one's wonder is a shunning that I suppose goes with human culture, or why, as we have been recently reminded, thanks Mr. Staley,  that Crowley had noted in defining Thelema, that mankind works against itself. This is not to say that I agree or disagree with everything I might come across in yours, or others work, for if it actually works for some particular star, then in a sense and by principle then to honor such a system is what is first warranted.

Of course forwarding what is in essence both revelation and thesis, does afford and invitation for critique  to which even being stomped upon should not hurt a true star, though orbits in galaxies and colliding galaxies might well spin the spin into a completely different spin, just as AC was spun and started to spin upon an invisible center not realized until the events of Cairo so set new course...

I might note that I have found some amusement and from the translation provided by HGADuck, by the chance rendering by the computer program he utilized...

Anyways this is a preliminary preface to a cursory glance of the text that I have thought relevant towards a consistent manner of welcome to the octagon, ring, stage, saloon or informal college for posting thesis upon what is perhaps a vacuum, despite initials of imperator provided by Mr. Crowley's legacy...for those who might seek to put forward into a place affording dissemination...

Dissemination.... how a curious would so pop up!...reminding me of a recent nine equals two thesis word that has dissolved upon these forums...

Good Cheer....and that is permission for  anyone still drinking to keep drinking...fuck the mandated covid-19 masks, forced vaccinations and other sundry evidence that the world has indeed ended...for the din could be for the atheist religion ruling under the color of law, not the whole of it.

93/93

HG

We noticed that phenomenon. It occurs in regular cycles and has been Christened "Spring Birds" or "Spring Fever." There were lots of birds this year, and (as you know) a bunch of fever.

At least the Book of the Law passages through the translator have gotten some interesting tones.

I suspect some shenanigans through the English-Russia-back-to-English translation process:

Xiii. 1. Abrahadabra! Award of Ra Gore Hut.

A new composite deity within Thelema? Al (31) Gore?

Xvi. 4. Choose an island!
Xviii. 6. Fertilize it around with military vehicles!

This had some agricultural depths to it. At least I remember from history that Soviets did use tanks as when tractors were not around.

XXI. 9. Hiding! Back off! Attack! This is the Law of the Battle of Conquest: such is my
worship at my secret house.

Nice contrast to Lurk! Withdraw! Upon them! perhaps a more practical instruction?

Behold now Behemoth, which I made with thee; he eateth grass as an ox.

Xon, sir. You thought I used too many pictures in my books. I think you're pushing the martial arts animated gifs into overload. please concentrate on Chesed. Geburah is a thing of the past. Unless you come back from the Void as a "cast out" into Geburah, in which case you will open a dojo (or whatever) and begin to teach wu-wei.

Glitter and flashing lights come out of Hod. Forget it. That's past/passed. Concentrate on Chesed and how the hologram is constructed ... and how to get out.

I'm not aware of how he spoke/wrote. I read The Eye in the Triangle (being a psychoanalysis of Crowley, which I thought wasfair enough). But I never read anything else of his. So if I run on in Tree of Life format, it's just one mode of expression. You remember how we discussed English accents? Like that. I can also do Jungian Psychopathology, Galactic Federation Imperative, Martial Arts Chop-Chop, Dzogchenian, annd Human Energy Fields. Probably others.

The best part is, I can pretend to be obsessed with any one of these dialects, but can suddenly switch, if needed. And I keep telling everyone that there is only one invisible, unnameable spectrum of consciousness ... and all these accents and systems are simply attempts to duplicate that spectrum (and hopefully control it, or make it work for them). AC's do-it-yourself approach is the most practical here in the wild western civilization.

That's my thesis for today. As you can see, it is all illusion designed to lead others into failure so that I might put my ego's butt on The Seat in the East.

Whatever. His 'advice' may be suitable for others.

What should be the take away and needed to be made clear in no uncertain terms is that whatever he does has nothing to do with my attainment.

I have heard Regardie speak and his voice is distinctly North London. It is fairly posh, and definitely sounds like he smoked about 40 a day.

Or have you been in touch more recently? I used to have one of those 45s Elvis recorded after his death.

Oh, goodness. I stand in error. I spoke directly to and with said Regardie person in 1965. I was referring to much later, when he wrote books that apparently used the QBL accent or dialect.

And does he speak in QBL? Does he make constant reference to a reality based on spheres and paths? Is Faustian correct? Do i remind others of Reg's speaking/writing style? Am i the reincarnation of Israel regardies? (Hardly, but with Jesus all things are possible).

Well, Lon DuQuette likened Regardie's speech to that of Elmer Fudd.

And you have shown a propensity for being vewy quiet.

Yes, of course, but II: 76 is only a small part. In fact, the entire book of the law is a storehouse of useful information for updating the magical and sacred system

Lon DuQuette likened Regardie's speech to that of Elmer Fudd.

I understand that Lon is one of the finer fellows, only shrouded by his affiliation with The One True Order that has a name among men, and women too, but their names are never revealed.

Israel, being the (guarded) psychotherapist, didn't have much to say at Aquarius' wake in 1965. He was sociable, passively, but muted, and certainly not gabby. But at one point, he was asked (in a loud voice), by either Mildred Burlingame or Rhea Leffingwell, a specific question ... and propriety required that he answer in a distinct voice. Which he did. In one, perfectly dictated voice.

He did not sound remotely like Elmer of the Fudd derivation.

I did not hear the recordings posted here, because my hearing is shot. So I can't tell if he turned whispy in later years.

Oh, yeah. What was he asked?

"Israel. How about you? Would you consider it?"

[The discussion was: Who would take the point in the re-opening of Agape Lodge]

He replied (with all eyes upon him, hoping for a yes, because nobody else there would think of being the point, but they all would follow) ... "I think maybe I'll wait 'til somebody else does that, then we'll see."

A marvelously phrased statement of non-commitment that politely said, "No, thank you." No Fudding.

Posted by: @duck

I can listen to these in the background ...

Please report if you determine any of the following characteristics, without being limited by any other unique, vocal distinctions ...

Speaks like Sepher Sephiroth, with a 777 twang.

British.

Whispy; Elmer Fudd-like.

My auditory system cannot usually distinguish words, much less accents, dialects, or whishiness.

So McMurtry wasn't thought of being in the frame as a possible candidate then?  I wonder why that would have been; it's rather curious and ironic, really, in view of the brouhaha he would go on to make four years later about activating "emergency letters of authorization" which specifically empowered himself.

So McMurtry wasn't thought of being in the frame as a possible candidate then?

McM was mentioned all the time ... week after week. Milly would constantly cite names: Monte (Gabriel Montenegro, IX), Grady (McM, IX), Israel (Regardie, *no numerals). These were the candidates, in her mind. Ray was too old and feeble, and the other guys were too.

But this was her ongoing dream: That someone would re-open Agape Lodge. Anyone would do. But not her. When Capricornus asked her (Milly) to join her in getting the show on the road, Milly declined.

Anyway, the ex-membership rarely got together. They wrote. They were all so poor I doubt they used long-distance calling. What I described was such a rare meeting ... due to a funeral/wake. McM was not present. monte was not present. So they were not nominated, nor was anyone else who was not there. Only regardie, who was there, was asked. Oh, Seckler was not there either.

So, nobody would pick up the hot potatoi that was cold. So we did.

McM was only contacted by the Cosmic Caliph Alert System after Solar ranch has been reduced to ashes, and then he, in his turn, got to sit on The Seat in The east, or its equivalent in Tong terms.

Posted by: @jamiejbarter

it's rather curious and ironic, really

I would use neither term, really, because McM wasn't there and no-one who was not there was mentioned.

Ray (aquarius), by the way, would have none of this re-opening crap. He told us clearly, one day when Milly was away, "I'd stay as far away as possible from all those people." A hint, perhaps, of a clean break from the past?

I will freely admit that any time i personally am asked to sell anyone my interest in property actually owned by the British Crown, i will do so at quite favorable prices. One difference may be that The Calif thought he actually did own the Thoth tarot rites.

Anyone interested in purchasing my rights to Buckingham Palace is invited to reach out, $150 beer money will do me nice; my rights in that one in Scotland i'm holding on to, just in case those other claimants' rights are found void.

Look everyone the reason Grady became OHO of the OTO is because he, burp, was the only one to grok the true meaning of the Stele of Revealing besides Mr. Crowley!

Of course the Stele is an advertisement for Ankh-af-an-Khonsu Ales!

Yes indeedee, while religion was the Crowley family obsession, obsessions require money, lots of beer money, and brewing ales, the ancient mash recipe handed down through the ages was the family secret, hid by the pious masque of the Plymouth Brethren, Eddie and his bride well did find there by the Nile, and as his mom had in plain sight for we all know how exhibit 666 is the answer to the '33' on a bottle of Rolling Rock, Aleister sure did and @RTC can well tell us that monsieur howley did lie in the Equinox of the Gods that he never took a sip....and yes Mr. Grant does have a legitimate claim as he learned that the Kalas were part of the secret recipe....why Howard Stern once let slip that the Jews had plenty of yeast infections to leaven the bread there in the desert, but the manna stolen from Mizraim was and is for beer, the secret brew for the few and secret and everyone else, for baby its all open source now.

Ok, Ok so a Russian thinks he has the secret, the key of it all, well then send a keg to Ignant, post haste for the fate of the world which some of us think has already ended last weekend had better come quick and remember the draught had better have a head to it or the curse of xon will be flashing banned gifs through our brains, but in England oh dear, a mythical place, its the UK that says you must sip with a mask on for the Corona is everywhere, which leads us to Mexico and meeting with a peculiar Don who knew some secrets, for when you climb high enough upon the volcanoes, the aires resemble the very foam of mirth or angels, so there is a reason that Agape was in Los Angeles, but who wants to drink beer there for Jane Wolfe came to Cefalu to get sober....So Shiva, was Solar Lodge brewery in the A-frame guarded by a kid and there are so many rumors of people trying to steal secret recipes for beer, yup, burp, beer, and to think I have a friend who turned Grady on to whippets!

Now lets get back to the slur of words and number in II. 76 or what ever verse we might choose for the fellow friend from Russia or what ever slurrillick language is being used, we now know why the young AC wanted to be diplomatic, not only was the Horus Toy rumored to be amongst Catherine the Great's artifacts, but ancient brewing knowledge, coveted too by the chosen few, and why by the Raggedy Rag Time Gerlz on might smuggle the secret out of Russia....for this is why Duranty was called in on emergency and then betrayed the west by saying nothing was happening for the graineries of the Ukraine were stolen so the country starved such that Politburo five year plan to find the recipe for foamy yellow piss water might supplant the white lightning onion domed ones, and just to think that Grady was  on the scent, onions on the breath, well if you have not read ontological onnings on on by Cornelius then pop a bear....oopps pop is so old aeon, we are talking beer, we ain't drinking here, that's just for holiday feasting, this just every day wake up and throat a lager, exhale and ale and start again...its a new day somewhere so raise the glass then take a piss in a great arcing circle, stand and align ones chakras, for everything should be spinning quite nicely and start mumbling, and remember yonder bigger is a king for asking for beer money, nothing less than $150 why that is the number of a king. and Ignant666 got it right, and should be able to win in Court against any and all pretenders, but yes lets watch out for the Russians for the New York Times is in a tizzy about the Russian threat and i hear they have been trolling LashtaL since the Yandex bot or not made the post with the Cyrillic Key...Well at least we have the Duck who is most diplomatic so perhaps a brewery war will not ensue, but more beer on the streets might quell the rioters, i hear that inhaling beer burps cures Corona virus...now lets hear what the Limies have to say or will silence be the answer!

No. He became OHO by self-jump-claiming. But then he had the IX* and that Note from AC, so he was the best qualified to step in to the vacuum and say, "I'm her!"

"Brst qualified" by traditional standards, like degrees held and Notes (Charters) provided. Never mind that he didn't do all the grade work leading up to that IX ("field promotion"), he did hold it, and he did get his way. Success id his proof. He shows little historical tendency to grok anything, except the official party line ... which was short. He wrote no books, yet he became A Magus; I guess he jumped over the thesis, but he hung on like a bulldog, drinking his way to success: He got to keep the $150.

the world which some of us think has already ended last weekend

This is true. We are all experiencing different things in the Bardo of Hallucinations.

Posted by: @hadgigegenraum

No brewery. Alcohol was not for us, except Frater Sol, who would get migraines, and his remedy was several stiff drinks. Hard stuff. Not beer. Sorry. Alcoholism is a serious problem amongst humanity. I do not recommend it. It leads to confusion over who owns the deck.

Oh, by the way, it wasn't an A-frame. Apparently some reporter had a hallucination in the Bardo. The structure in question was FORSQUARE, like the Four-Square Cuboidal Church. The roof was flat, not pointy. We have to keep these details accurate, or historians will merely tell jokes about our misinformity.

Thanks Ignant666 for your kind words! I can think of no higher praise for my foaming at the mouth upon these pages than to know that you have been duly entertained...!

Bartender, As many rounds of Ankh-af-na-Knonsu Ale for all the stars who might visit here at the tavern at the end of the world....and don't worry I have a letter right here from AC guaranteeing that Grady's paying the tab!

Also a Shirley Temple for Shiva if he would like, or a glass of milk and one of those Alice B. Toklas cookies might well do the trick...but i hear he like acid back in the day and it would seem that day has not ended...

Bon Voyage

Long ago, back in the '60s, in the aeon era that was "reality" two or three cycles ago, I determined that one should be able to access alternative states WITHOUT medico-chemical-pharmaceutical-power plant libation/intoxication/assistance.

Since Crowley and Leary didn't seem to follow this path, or at least to boldly advocate it, I guess I embarked on some unfathomable and unrealistic quest to "be here and there ... at the same time," an obviously, unrealistic goal.

Yet, on Feb 2, 1982, in the crisis of that date, unenhanced by any form of chemicalalia, I came to an agreement with the death star to do just that.

[Insert multiple flashing gifs]

[Insert curses against anyone who dares to suggest I am making this up]

This unceremonial rite of Adjustment to Alignment was (probably) the moment of greatest import in my checkerboard of assorted experiences.

Since that time, I have only used such artificial illumination in respect to other people. That is, when someone else (or several elses) who is (are) as dense as I had been needed both a legal chemical catalyst and an energetic boost (they call it a "direct transmission").

In the past 16 years, this has taken place five (5) times, so it seems like you're right that said day has not ended, but now it's been over a year since the last adventure, so I guess a "day" is subject to the usual Qabalistic distortions and Metaphysical interpretations.

Thank you thank you!

I remember someone shared this on reddit but going through google translate was too exhausting. You've done the work of a saint! 😀

You've done the work of a saint!

His Drakeness, Saint Duck.

I've been lobbying for a Seat with the Saints, but so far I can't find anybody to bribe lobby.
