An enquiry regarding The Confessions for anyone out there who might assist!
I have the Mandrake 1929 edition in two volumes. Volume 1 has a badly acidified glassine cover. I have just removed this but before I dicard it would like to know if both volumes originally came with glassine covers, or is this a later addition by a previous owner attempting to conserve the white buckram?
