People turn to superstition, mysticism and prophecy-games in times of crisis.

Nostradamus had his head stuck in a bucket of ink every night (with a blanket over him) receiving prophetic visions as the corpses filled the streets outside during the Black Plague.  That is, Medieval Europe with it's limited medical resources tried to deal with what we are all trying to deal with now.   In fact Nostradamus was actually a plague-doctor ie he was losing it, he was melting down.

Shiva: "This symbol proves, beyond any shadow of doubt, that AC was definitely not obsessed with penae and sea men, as some cynical folks have asserted." (about the Mark of the Beast when HGA of the Duck wrote: "I believe this is the symbol AC used as his "Mark of the Beast".")

Well, to me it looks like the ice-cream cone (and please, do not psychoanalyse me...).

But surely not here in the virtual council chambers of LAShTAL, where everyone is tried and true in Raja Yoga and Banishing demons. So we don't need to get excited and run around and get involved in prophetic interpretation and squabbling over the meaning of a black egg from a white rooster.

As i was saying, on some thread, maybe even this one: All these things are animated scrolls in the Hall of Hallucinations.

These are stressful times. You will not need to be institutionalized. Just do three pranayamas, then go on your way ... to sin no more.

[Duck] replies, and is followed by ... Silence.

The entire room, filled with 33 dignitaries and observers looks to you for a response. Only to find that you are ... asleep!

I've been having some intermittent trouble with my broadband connection and in the present climate unable to get a (wo)man down to come and have a look at it.  Fingers crossed, hopefully it will be OK now but may result in further unexpected absences if not.

In order to save the degrading dignity of our little charade, and with the c.'. having answered your inquiry in the common language, I naturally intervened. Pardon my bug-ridden insolence, and I can assure you that this will happen again if you ever dare to fall asleep at the wheel again.

I have no problem with that.  This is a forum after all, with no restrictions on the ability of the replier to respond apart from in the Guidelines, and I would like to feel free to be able to "jump in" (and often do) with anybody else likewise.

cum laude

And asonishingly, on another thread, Jamie remarks about someone being potty-mouthed!!!

You couldn't make it up, could you???

Pass the sick-bag, Alice.

"Cum"?  Come, come, Michael!  That's hardly "doing a Ramsay" there though, was it?

N Joy
