A fave of the relaxing mellow 90s alt-rock tunes that builds to a sweet crescendo. The lyric of “love and laughter” caught my attention and made a connection with the Book of the Law.
“The Earth has told Of an outrageous spring…remembered” brought to mind the story of Cadmus and the cave. Dargaard’s setting to music a section of that part of the story is incredible. It was a favorite even before knowing what it was about.

“9. All that ye do is right, if so be that ye enjoy it. […] 18. Only those who fear shall fail. Those who have bent their backs to the yoke of slavery until they can no longer stand upright; them will I despise. 19. But you who have defied the law; you who have conquered by subtlety or force; you will I take unto me, even I will take you unto me.” (Source: LIBER XC – Book 90. “An account of Initiation, and an indication as to those who are suitable for the same.” A∴A∴ Publication in Class A, Holy Books of Thelema – – – http://www.thelemapedia.org/index.php/The_Holy_Books_of_Thelema):

The title of the Elvis Presley song referred to by me in REPLY #109149 to this thread is It Feels So Right:

Its Hendrix..September 24, 2018 at 12:47 am #109542
As to the above song the Hendrix family ‘foundation’ Experience Hendrix didn’t exist when I bought the CD Voodoo Soup so now they are ruining his legacy since the 2000s.
Here is me drumming with my old band a year ago for giggles.

david: No clue whatever of what that is a parody of, or who Billy Connolly is.
chris: Song does nothing much for me, but your drumming is solid and powerful.September 24, 2018 at 11:51 pm #109549September 25, 2018 at 8:38 pm #109565
Jamie J BarterParticipant
When it first came out, as a young boy at my mother’s knee (both of them, as a matter of fact) this song greatly amused me by its repeated will-he won’t-he crescendo and diminuendo alternation. and the oft repeated promise of the singer to expire when she didn’t and it all turned out to be a bit of a put-on.
As I grew older though and more experienced with the ways of lerv, whenever I hear it again I never fail to be impressed by its build and sheer passion, a vast sea-like ebb & flow expressing the sheer longing and wrecked hurt of unrequited feelings familiar to us all, and even though ‘it must be him’ it might equally well be applied to ‘her’ as well.

Death in June (Di6) have cited Crowley influences on their music and song writing and controversially the Strasser brothers (anti-Hitler left-wing ex-members of the Nazi Party) and Ernst Rohm (homosexual Brownshirt chief who was executed during the ‘Night of the Long Knives’ in June 1934).
Boyd Rice-NON used to be a leading member of the Church of Satan (who declined an offer to become CoS High Priest after Anton LaVey died) but is now Gnostic. He has played concerts with Di6 and I’ve seen them both play in London a few years ago. My opinion is that they use fascist imagery to shock, provoke and troll and they have also in fact both used Bolshevik/Stalinist imagery also.September 26, 2018 at 7:58 pm #109574
My opinion is that Death In June, and Boyd Rice, are fascist pieces of shit who should be met with appropriate violence at any opportunity. Any city where they can perform safely should be ashamed.
Anyone who “use[s] fascist imagery to shock, provoke and troll” has little to complain about when folks respond to them as Nazi scum who think genocide provides cool imagery.
Death in June in particular pose as “beefsteak Nazis” (“brown [fascist] on the outside and red [socialist] inside”) with the Strasser-flirtation (aka the “Third Position”). They would do well to recall the fate of Otto Strasser, like Rohm murdered by the brown-all-the-way-through Nazis on the Night On The Long Knives in 1934.
Thelemites who sympathize with Nazis might want to contemplate the fact that Karl Germer, and other German Thelemites, Masons, and occultists joined the better known victims of the Nazis, like Jews, gays, leftists, and gypsies, in the concentration camps.
Oh, and their music sucks, too.
One more thought: The Nazis and fascists decisively lost their war of world conquest through racial superiority, just like the Confederate traitors decisively lost their war to preserve human slavery in North America. Why anyone identifies with such repellent losers has always baffled me.September 26, 2018 at 8:06 pm #109576
“United” by Throbbing Gristle includes the lyric adopted from A.C. “Love is the law”.
