    Les enfants veulent des tambours
    Les enfants sont troubadours
    Les enfants veulent des tambours
    Pour faire résonner la cour
    Les enfants veulent des trompettes
Les enfants, mais qu`ils sont bêtes
    Les enfants veulent des trompettes
    Pour faire résonner la tête
    Les enfants veulent du tonnerre
    Les enfants, mais pourquoi faire
    Les enfants veulent du tonnerre
    Pour faire résonner la terre

    Children want drums
    The children are troubadours
    Children want drums
    To make the court sound
    Children want trumpets
    Children, but they are stupid
    Children want trumpets
    To make the head resonate
    Children want thunder
    Children, but why do
    Children want thunder
    To make the earth resonate

Luba is one of my favorite artists from the 80s who published some spiritually themed songs which I find have a thelemic tone.

    Learn to convert
    Learn to assert
    Learn to abandon
    Ideologies and
    Disciplines at random

This one is similar to devotional music

    Lift up your heads
    To see an azure canvas
    Splattered red

    my post disappeared.

    ..

    Sometime
    I like to sit around
    and just contemplating sitting round
I could lay in bed, like my momma said
Don’t just do something, sit around instead

    Sometime
    If I may say myself
I’m not bad at life, I’m not good as well
And though life goes on, I can’t plainly see
Just what is it for, if its not for me ?

    Sometime
    Though its a big surprise
I made compromise the thing I most desire
I can say with pride, hold my head up high
That I had a great idea but nevermind.

    Oh…babe…
    .

    😉

Yes he turned and be walked
Past the eyes of my life
And he nodded and sang without sound
And his face had the look
Of a man who knew strife
And a feeling familiarly came around
    I said man
Where have you been for all these years
Man where were you when I sought you
Man do you know me as I know you
    Man am I coming through
And he spoke in a voice
    That was centuries old
And be smiled in a way that was strange
And his full lips of night
    Spoke about our people’s plight
And a feeling familiarly came around
    I said man
Where have you been for all these years
Man where were you when I sought you
Man do you know me as I know you
    Man am I coming through
And we sat and we talked
    About freedom and things
And he told me about what he dreamed
But I knew of that dream
    Long before he had spoke
And a feeling familiarly came around
    I said man
Where have you been for all these years
Man where were you when I sought you
Man do you know me as I know you
    Man am I coming through
    Man am I coming through

Klaxon’s Myths of the Near Future is my favourite pop album of 2000’s.

While Magick is easily recognizable as referring to Crowley As Above, So Below is a bit more subtle and appears to contain elements of the legend around the magickal battle of Britain.

    Sailing silver waves,
through the skies and ’round your eyes
And in the pockets of the tide,
    a meeting place by night

    Sequin covered swans
that are used to make their own mosaics
A ceremony comes: An exponential fate

The dance of the cosmos shows
The stitches of space that slowly come and go
The dance of the cosmos shows
    As above, so below

    A whippoorwhill in flight
    turns east towards Westphalia
    In search of lost time,
with the magic of true light

    Tone zodiac in tune
with the fossils of our theme park
    And falling from the seams
is a steeple swarmed in light

    My favourite from the album.

My favourite song featuring a Crowley voice sample.

Crowley ites are apparently often unable to organise links into proper threads 😉 comedy in music in video in movies.

    Great local artist from Denver:

@dom I like both bands but I don’t think they were so much trying to rip off the Beach Boys as use their influence in regards to production and layering. I hear more radiohead in spiritualized than Beach Boys. but a bit.

I don’t think Spiritualized sound like Radiohead, but then i like Spiritualized.

Spiritualized are a follow-up to Spacemen 3, who had one of the greatest album titles ever: Taking Drugs to Make Music to Take Drugs To (1990); here is Track 1, “The Sound Of Confusion”:

Oh yes I know them. Not as good but still good.

Quite sad what Jason Pierce ie J Spaceman did to hisself with drugs. Broke his liver and gave himself hepatitis. Now he is all messed up for good. Pity he wasn’t luckier.
