@hadgigegenraum I couldn't agree more! You and I are like the voices crying in the wilderness. Misplaced and manipulated compassion for the Ukranian civilians is easy to understand. I won't say more because I am on the razor's edge of derailment. BUT I HEAR YOU BROTHER!
The failure of the Ukrainians to surrender in the face of the Russian invasion will surely be ranked as one of history's greatest acts of aggression. It is the moral obligation of every nation to surrender if Putin wants their land, resources, etc.
Meanwhile, back here on planet earth, could our far-right Comrades please stop derailing threads to push their lunatic political agenda?

@ignant666 Ho hum. I knew you would stick your nose into this one. Your righteous indignation is duly noted. Why then is the OTO Headquarters soliciting funds for the Ukraine? Hadgigegenraum has raised a valid point.
That thread found its way to Crowley's copyrights and some interesting information on a person not really on my radar Ms. Smith, would so find it engaging to be appraised of a link to the holder of Mr. Crowleys copyrights, the Ordo Templi Orients....and out of curiosity i would just happen upon something that I thought should be considered relative to a thread about Aleister Crowley 'Versus' racism...to which I believe that the O.T.O., would be best, in the universal spirit of mankind, to stay above the fray, but then have chosen to side with the morally depraved and hijacked Uranian and their Nazi' thugs in what is an avowed racist war against Russia and Russians...who are supported by the majority of the world's peoples and nations...
Anyways I though better of the librarians and their Gnostic Masses....very nice...at least I did not see mandatory vaccination policies, booster records with one's dues....in some of the other updates posted on line....
@hadgigegenraum It takes guts to make a stand like you have. Crowley's Law of Liberty, Liber OZ comes to mind. "The slaves shall serve"*.AL II.58
* "Slaves" Those who follow the status quo.
Hadgigegenraum has raised a valid point.
Okay, granted that if OTO is involved, it is within The Scriptural Doctrine Guidelines, but it is off-topic for this thread (AC, Reuss, the Rus, the Ukr, and all involved posters are (appear to be) white. Please initiate a new thread for the purposes of auditing the motivation of said org. I would be interested in attending.
Oh forget it. You hardly ever comply with anything reasonable that interferes with your obsessions. I will start the new thread. Because you are correct in asking this why.
i would just happen upon something that I thought should be considered relative to a thread about Aleister Crowley 'Versus' racism...
Agreed, with distractions. This has nothing to do with Aleister Crowley's views on anything ... but it is relevant in that his "successor" appears to be taking a political stance. It is hardly "racist" if everybody is white ... but it could be termed "nationalist" or "ideological."
I have started the New Thread on this topic. Please adjourn to the new OTO & Politics thread.
the gold trimmed, vellum edition of the Book of the Law as pictured in the vary famous portrait of Crowley in his ceremonial hood, wand, panticle, elbows resting on the book while performing the Typhon sign.
The book in the photo is very rare indeed. There is only one. It is Perdurabo's Book of Abramelin Talismans, not AL, that is pictured. I utilized it on several occasions.
As always, you put me in my place, (in a good way) But imagine the thrill of holding a first edition Crowley book, knowing the Master Therion had published in the highest quality available in printing and actually held in his hands. The article about the acquisition of the volume and other books would make a great book in and of itself. The book in the photo is very rare indeed. There is only one. I do not need to imagine it. This book was not printed or published. It was essentially a photo album. Each page was thick, black, and slightly fuzzy (like blotter paper). Slits were cut into the pages, like to hold photos, but parchment talismans were inserted. There is not one printed word in this "book."
There was a note inside the front cover, from Yorke to Germer saying, Keep this wrapped in wool! It was not wrapped in wool when obtained. People sleeping near it had nightmares. Kee-Rist, what dummies. I followed the directive, wrapped it in wol, and things settled down.
The article about the acquisition of the volume and other books would make a great book in and of itself.
The tale of the acquisition, and subsequent use of, The Talisman Book has been chronicled to exhaustion in my book, and doled out repeatedly over the years on these threads.
There ain't mo more, no more, to tell. But if you have burning questions, you may proceed. But, really, this is the AC-Racism thread ... so ask away on the proper thread. This is your test in necromancy.
@shiva Can you give me a hint? Does Lashtal have
I'll bet it is interesting. However, I am having no luck in finding the thread. I noticed after starting to read your very impressive work, The Solar Lodge, you mention Jean and Richard Bryton. Are they the same Bryton's who founded The Church of the Process? I remember reading about them in Ed Sander's book, The Family. Which as you know led to a libel suit against Ed Sanders, forcing him to re-edict the book.
Whatever became of the six-year-old arsonist?
Are they the same Bryton's who founded The Church of the Process?
No. You are confused and mixing the orgs and the players.
Ed Sander's book
Which should be renamed, The Book of Lies, but that title is already taken.
Whatever became of the six-year-old arsonist?
Sbsolutely no data is available.
Ed Sander's book I am just reading your take on yellow journalist "writer" Ed Sanders in your Solar Lodge history. I am beginning to think that there are two types of synchronicities, Natural and Artificial. Namely Ed Sanders making up synchronicities to tell a lurid, occultic story.
Lastly, did the burning of the copy of The Book of the Law* happen before or after the little boy torched the place?
*Source, The History of The Solar Lodge
Lastly, did the burning of the copy of The Book of the Law* happen before or after the little boy torched the place?
Solar Lodge Firestorm - 1969
AL Cremation - 1984
Are they the same Bryton's who founded The Church of the Process?
Wasn't that Robert de Grimston and Mary Ann McLean?
Wasn't that Robert de Grimston and Mary Ann McLean?
Probably. Solar Lodge and The Process had adjoining chapters, so it's easy to mix up one set of founders with the other.
I was flat-out wrong. Always check your sources A mere click of the keyboard would have prevented this. I was pulling an "Ed Sanders".
We have our moments. I screwed up recently too.
I've done some research on the Process Church. I used to have some files of some of their rituals but lost those in a crash a few years ago.

Beyond what I have read in Ed Sander's The Family, and Gentry and Bugliosi, Helter Skelter My knowledge of the Church of the Process is flawed at best. However, I would recommend if you were interested, to google : International journal for the study of New Religions, The Process Church of the Final Judgement. Or, if you can afford the $300, The out-of-print book, Propaganda and the Holy Writ of the Process Church of the Final Judgement by Timothy Wyllie and Adam Perfrey. Seems as though it is a committed End of the World Eschatology. It would be interesting if a complete dissection of all the magick orders, church's, cults etc., they are all rooted in Aleister Crowley's Thelemic philosophy. If such a construct exists, I would love to read it.
In addition to the out of print and very expensive book you mention, which reprints the Process magazines verbatim, there is the also out of print but much less expensive, and quite good, Love, Sex, Fear, Death: The Inside Story of The Process Church of the Final Judgment,by Timothy Wylie.
George Clinton of Parliament/Funkadelic was their most famous convert. Mary Ann's animal sanctuary is still going somewhere out west, although she died in 2005. Robert is still alive somewhere avoiding Processans.
They were not at all influenced by AC, BTW.
@ignant666 You are right. I did find the less expensive Love, Sex, Death: The inside story...However, I think the $300 publication is a complete reprint of their in-house publication, "Process". You are also correct, AC had nothing to do with the Process Church.
Do you think it's worth the $35.00? If you said its quite good, that's good enough for me. Time to break out the old Debit card.In addition to the out of print and very expensive book you mention, which reprints the Process magazines verbatim, there is the also out of print but much less expensive, and quite good, Love, Sex, Fear, Death: The Inside Story of The Process Church of the Final Judgment,by Timothy Wylie.

They had their start in scientology. William Bainbridge did extensive research on them from the inside, and he was the one who published the rituals I used to have.
Genesis P-Orridge's later Process has little to do with the original except for borrowing symbols like their logo, which he dubbed the "p-cross", possibly so he'd have to do less editing of his old TOPY writings using the term "psychick cross" to republish them as Process documents. 😉

Scientology was founded by L. Ron Hubbard, science fiction author. (As I am sure you are well aware) He was a friend of Jack Parsons, rocket engine designer and Thelemite. There is the possible link in the "Aleister Crowley Genealogy of descendent religious orders and fraternities.

I am indeed aware of that and the Parsons connection too Their is a very tenuous connection, though scientology also "borrowed" a lot from Reich and Korzybski too, with some bad science fiction added for their mythology.
@katrice I went ahead an ordered a copy of Love,Sex,Fear, Death:The Inside Story of The Process Church of the Final Judgment. After I review it, I will let you know how it is. Ignant666 says it's an Excellent book.
@shiva Rather than suffer the consequences of the hatchet man, I will respectfully drop out of this thread, thus avoiding a bloody mess.
